So click on “Settings” on the main menu on your administration panel.
You will see several items available in the options panel and each of the sub-menu items: General, Writing, Reading, Discussion, Privacy, Permalinks, and any of the plugins you may have installed. For the moment, we will concern ourselves with the “general” tab.
Under “General Options” you will need to edit the following:
- Blog Title – Here you’ll enter the name of your blog. Depending on the modifications to your template, this is what will appear in the header of your site.
- Tagline - Enter a tagline for your site. This will be a phrase that should convey your site’s purpose/intent in a few short words.
- Select your language preference.
- Email Address - This will be the email visitors will use to contact you.
- Time and Date display preferences.
After you have made all of the changes you’d like, click “Update Options.”
If you want to see how your changes appear on your blog, click the “View site >>” link at the upper left side of your admin panel.
