How do I add new categories for the posts?
For the first method select Manage >> Categories and scroll to the Add Category section and add the categories appropriate to your site.
The second method can be done at the write or manage level. You will find a categories item in the right sidebar menu. This is normally where you will select the category for the post (or page). The first field however allows you to enter the new category. Selecting “Add” will add the item as a new category.

How Do I Control the Categories the Links Are In?
On the main menu select Blogroll >> Categories. Click the “Add New” link (or scroll down the page a bit) and enter your new link category information.
